HERE FOR YOU. ALWAYS.

During these challenging times, BC’s dairy farmers are working to support their communities.

We continue to do our part to ensure a steady supply of dairy products is available. Milk is picked up from BC dairy farms every day. After milk leaves the farm, it is pasteurized, packaged, and available in grocery stores within 48 hours. While some stores have reported higher purchase volumes, consumers can be assured that our farms continue to produce a constant supply of nutritious dairy products for all British Columbians.

At a time when many people are struggling to meet basic needs, BC’s dairy farmers are supporting the Breakfast Club of Canada in an initiative to provide meals during the holiday season. From November 30 to December 27, 2020, they are partnering with select restaurants across BC to run a “Wake up to the Best” program designed to give back to communities across the province. For every special breakfast item ordered at a participating restaurant, BC dairy farmers are donating a meal to the Breakfast Club of Canada. In this way, they are helping to ensure children are getting a nutritious start to their day.

Additionally, BC dairy farmers has recently made another $10,000 donation to S.U.C.C.E.S.S. a charitable organization that will use the funds to help provide Chinese seniors in British Columbia with healthy food and access to activities and health services. This $10,000 donation to S.U.C.C.E.S.S. is the second the association has made this year; the first gift (of $10,000) was made in May 2020. This time, the donation is in support of the 8th annual Giving Tuesday, a global movement for giving and volunteering, taking place each year after Black Friday.
